Keita Satoh Appointed Outside Director for Polygon Pictures

Polygon Pictures Inc. ("PPI," President and CEO: Shuzo Shiota, Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo) is proud to announce that Keita Satoh was officially appointed as an outside director of PPI during our shareholders’ meeting on August 29, 2012. Satoh currently acts as Special Management Adviser for TOMY Company, Ltd. as well as President & CEO of Dreams Come True Co., Ltd.

PPI is a respected member of the CG industry, having worked on such acclaimed digital animations as Transformers Prime (Daytime Emmy Award winner), Tron: Uprising, and Star Wars The Clone Wars. PPI is committed to achieving even greater business development and improving our management transparency. As someone who helped thrust the toy industry into the next generation, Satoh's appointment to the position of Outside Director is an important step in pursuing PPI's goal to proactively diversify our production projects and develop new, original content.

About our newly appointed Outside Director

Keita Satoh
Keita Satoh was born on December 15, 1957, and attended the Keio University Faculty of Law. After graduating, he worked at Kawada Co., Ltd. before joining the Takara Company. Here Satoh served as President & CEO, as well as Chairman & CEO, and in 2006 was appointed Executive Vice President of TOMY Company, Ltd. Satoh went on to hold dual positions as President & CEO of T-ARTS Company, Ltd. and President & CEO of TATSUNOKO PRODUCTION COMPANY, LTD. He currently acts as President & CEO of Dreams Come True, Ltd.; Director of NEC Mobiling, Ltd.; Special Management Adviser for TOMY Company, Ltd.; and Special Management Adviser for TATSUNOKO PRODUCTION COMPANY, LTD.
Satoh is also active as a trustee of the Japan Toy Culture Foundation, and a councilor for the Miyake Issey Foundation.
